Meet Your Teacher

Linda Standart

I am a fairly eclectic artist and do a lot of art and craft things.  My formal art education was obtained at Syracuse University, but I always felt that observation and experience were the real key to making art you can live with and love.  My first rubber stamp was a spinning wheel image I was given in 1987.  I used it on envelopes for correspondence with fellow spinners.  It was in late 1991 that a friend gave me the first stamp I used for real stamp art.  So, I have been involved in stamping for many years and work in several styles, but "Stampscaping" is a particular favorite.  I was introduced to Stampscapes at Calligraphy House (now Stamps and More by Eleanor) in a class demonstrating how to use them.  That was all it took.  I have several years experience with landscape painting and photography, which helps me design my work.  I now enjoy teaching Stampscapes, as well as book arts and other stamping and paper arts here at Stamps and More by Eleanor.
