Hello Friends,

It’s a beautiful spring morning here in upstate South Carolina , and the weatherman says it will probably be a hot summer afternoon before the day is over. It’s hard to predict the ups and downs of the weather and even harder to predict ups and downs of the business climate.

Business seems to picking up around here and we are getting busier every day. Thank you one and all for that. Our recent change of policy when ordering seems to have worked. (Ordering just what you asked for and a little extra!) I want to assure everyone that ALL is well here at Stamps and More by Eleanor. Word of mouth is still our best form of advertising and we appreciate your willingness to tell others about our store. New customers are finding us every day. Thanks again for promoting our store to your friends and neighbors. We really appreciate it.

YOU ASKED FOR IT…. And we are scheduling it. STAMPSCAPES classes are scheduled with our very own Linda, May 15^th and 16^th. These are special Friday and Saturday classes. PLEASE note we are NOT having our regular Friday card workshop on May 15^th so we can do a new class called ‘SPECIAL EFFECTS WITH STAMPSCAPES.” If you have already taken one of Linda’s STAMPSCAPES classes, you can sign up for this one and I am quoting Linda, “You will learn even more techniques for stampscaping with color, and creating mist-filled landscapes and moonlit scenes.”

If you don’t know about STAMPSCAPES, please visit their website, www.stampscapes.com . Our teacher, LINDA STANDART is listed there with some of her samples in their gallery. These wonderful classes will be small LIMIT 8. They are filling up fast and this is the first official announcement. If you are already a fan of STAMPSCAPES then you will notice that Kevin (the creator of Stampscapes ) has introduced a new line of nature quote stamps that fit the scenes you can create with his stamps.

They are absolutely perfect for this line and we have some of all of them in stock NOW! If you want any of the designs please let me know which ones and we will make sure we have plenty for everyone. There is a special price IF YOU BUY THE ENTIRE SET OF UNMOUNTED /CLING FOAM SENTIMENTS/QUOTES. $148.40. We have already sold several sets that way so let us know if you want the entire set and we will get them for you.

NEWSFLASH!! CROPS ARE COMING….SIGN UP ASAP.

Due to the closing of some of the other scrapbook stores in our area we have been asked to start having some SCRAPBOOK CROP time on the schedule. We are willing to try it on Thursdays. Please forward this to anyone you think might be interested, and encourage them to sign up for our email list themselves so they will be notified of any NEWS in the future.

For starters, for *THREE Thursdays in May, we are going to try it. SCRAPBOOK CROPS on Thursday will be from 10:00 AM till 4:00 PM. The deal will be like our CARD WORKSHOP. As long as you spend at least $10.00 while you are here you can get 10% OFF everything you buy and there is NO cover charge for the use of our space. We will have snacks and drinks on the honor system and you may also bring snacks for yourself and/or your scrappin’ friends.

*SPECIAL NOTE: The 3rd Thursday of every month is our regularly scheduled ART IMPRESSIONS watercolor free PLAY DAY. If the response to that PLAY DAY stays good we won’t change that but we will continue with the SCRAPBOOK crop on Thursday May 28th.

RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED. We will LIMIT space in the classroom to 10 people. So you will have plenty of room to spread out. You may use our BIG ACCU CUT die cuts and machines while you are here. We have two CUTTLEBUG machines in the classroom, for your convenience, but since we will NOT have a teacher back there to supervise the use of her supplies, you will need to bring your own embossing folders or die cut systems, Cricuts etc. if you plan to use them. No stamping supplies will be available during the crop time. IF you want to stamp plan to come to our teacher supervised CARD WORKSHOPS.

IF this CROP DAY works out for you AND us, then we will continue doing it… it’s up to you!! When we get the crop routine worked out we may schedule them on a Saturday in the future. Let us know if you are interested in that as well. We love your feedback.
