SEPTEMBER 2008 CREATIVE JOURNEY

September’s Creative Journey project will be based on the watercolor stamping technique shown on Tim Holtz’s Blog site this month.  This technique is a good one to prove to yourself that stamping IS art, not ‘just craft stuff’.

Bring the following:
-water color paper 90# or heavier

Cold press or hot press will both work. Try some of each
-Any Ranger Adirondack dye ink pads you may have
Distress and Nick Bantock series are good as well.
No specific colours are needed. Just ones you like.
-Ranger Archival pad in a dark colour – black recommended.
-Favorite bold images such as the Hero Arts and Penny Black Watercolor technique stamps. Several of the Tim Holtz stamps are also suitable.
-Quote stamps such as those from the Tim Holtz series
-Favorite embellishments and fibers.
-Wire wrapping tool and art wire

You may choose to make tags (# 6 or 7 shipping tags) or cards (your favorite card stocks) with the images.

Time permitting, we will do some work with crackle paints, masks and the glimmer sprays we have made in the past.

Spritzers
Perfect Pearls
Distress Ink Refills
Crackle paint (your favorites)
Embellishments
Masks (Heidi Swapp)
